ABOUT THE ARTIST
On the night before Halloween, 1992, Cameron was born in Greensboro, NC to two mechanical engineer parents. Her spiritual connection to this spooky holiday has always been apparent in her artwork, which frequently features horror memorabilia, mythical monsters, and creatures of the night. On her sweeter side, a love for animals fuels her passion for painting their furry little faces.
Cameron graduated from Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota, FL with a BFA in Illustration and a background in traditional painting and mixed media. She has more than 11 years’ experience in private commissioned art works and pet/people portraits, and participates in many art events in the Triangle, including first Friday Art Walk in Raleigh, third Friday Art Walk in Durham, and the Carrboro Art Bazaar. Acrylic paints are her favored medium, allowing her to layer vibrant colors quickly and fluidly. Her color inspiration stems from sunsets, bodies of water, and flowers, all of which are plentiful in her life.
Cameron lives on a small farm east of Raleigh, NC with her musician husband, four cats, a dog, and a bearded dragon.
